Amazing Love

The most amazing truth in the entire world–God loves you. His love for you is so amazing that He was willing to pay any price, make any sacrifice, and go to any extreme necessary to bring you into His family. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to be sacrificed on a cross for your sin–that's amazing love.

Why did God do this? Because our sin separates us from God, who is perfect and holy. The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Our sin brings death, but faith in Jesus Christ brings life. God's Word says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23). Salvation is a gift. It's not something that can be earned through good deeds or "good works".

When Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected from the grave, His cross became a bridge, enabling us, by faith, to enter the presence of God. Jesus made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. And He opened the door for us to receive eternal life. "Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:16)

How do we receive eternal life? We do this by believing with all of our hearts that Jesus Christ paid the price for our sin and that He alone can forgive us and save us from eternal death. The Bible says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12).

If you are ready to believe in Jesus Christ with all of your heart, mind, and soul, why not pray this prayer..."Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned against you–please forgive me and come into my life right now and save me. I will, with your help Lord, seek to live for you from this day forward. Amen."
